Abbins Maintenance Limited - OUR STORY

Tony Perkins worked for many years as his fathers electrical apprentice.

 

In 2011, Tony found himself in the position to take on his own apprentice (Marc Day) - they began training/working as Gas subcontractors for companies that ran Housing Associations across London. 

​

By 2013, Tony was awarded a large gas works contract to service/maintain 1,500 properties. Tony's wife (Angela) gave up her full time career to support Tony and manage the influx of admin for the contract. 

​

Abbins Maintenance ran as a successful, small family business for approximately 3 years - with 2 full time engineers, additional subcontractors and Angela managing the "at home" office.

​

The Housing Association that Abbins Maintenance was contracted to then merged with Notting Hill Genesis and Abbins Maintenance were awarded several Void,  Repair and Maintenance Contracts. 

​

Tony's son Andrew joined the company in 2016 as the Operations manager, and became the driving force for Abbins Maintenance growth.  Since then, Abbins Maintenance Limited moved into Offices in the Old Courthouse in Grays, Essex, outgrew this building then moved to Larger offices overlooking the Thames in Tilbury. Growth has occurred exponentially through a combined effort from all of the team in the Office and in the Field which has led to the success story as we see it today.

Abbins Maintenance Limited now work alongside not only Notting Hill Genesis, but also: Peabody, L&Q, EHSL and many more Housing Associations as well as Councils and in private households offering a Professional reliable service to all our Clients.

Abbins Maintenance began as a small, family run business working from home and are now proud to have a large office full of amazing staff and over 30 Professional engineers with ambition to continue to grow and to provide our excellent service to as many clients as possible throughout the UK.
